Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Children will Visit Parliament

           Eight students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Lakkidi have got an invitation
from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to visit Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhavan. “We have got the invitation as a part of attending a function that would be held in Parliament on October 20 to receive the trophy and certificates for the meritorious performance of our children in the 13th National Youth Parliament competition held at the
school on 16 June,” C.V. Santhi, Principal of the school said. 

                           The students – Alisha Grace Mathew, Indulakshmi,Suryagayathri, Sruthi C, Archana, Jisna George, C.S. Anandu and Basil Shaji – had bagged the first position in the regional Youth Parliament competition (Hyderabad region) and stood second position in the national level competition.
                         
                              The team was trained by TCM Suresh and S. Swathi, the Social Science teachers of the school, she added. The competition was organised by the by the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
